AhlulBayt News Agency: Hamas has welcomed the joint statement issued by eighty countries, which highlights the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza, marking it as the worst since the war began on October 7, 2023.
In its statement, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement emphasized that the international position underscores growing opposition to what it describes as an ongoing genocide in Gaza.
According to Mehr, Hamas noted that the declaration serves as significant pressure to expedite humanitarian aid, end the starvation crisis, and break the blockade imposed on the territory.
Food security experts have warned that Gaza is on the brink of famine, as aid agencies have depleted their food supplies. Nearly all of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents rely on overwhelmed community kitchens for survival.
